Rotary of Middletown needs YOUR support!
The COVID19 pandemic has affected our lives and community in significant ways. Unfortunately, many of our neighbors and friends in the greater Middletown area have experienced difficulties making ends meet. Further, many businesses and other organizations that serve our community have equally faced unprecedented challenges.
Given our community’s many challenges, our Rotary Club of Middletown has identified the areas of food insecurity and housing issues as immediate priorities to be addressed by our Charitable Fund.
As Rotarians, we continue to be ready to assist during this crisis to fulfill our mission of “Service Above Self.” In order to accomplish this mission, our Club has historically sponsored various in-person fund raising events; most notably, our annual dinner and auction held in the fall. These events have raised the funds that sustain and support our community service activities. However, this year, these events are not possible to be conducted in person.
The Fundraising Committee has extensively investigated other “virtual” event fundraising avenues. However, these virtual venues present their own set of costs, logistics and time, with uncertain outcomes. Accordingly, we have decided to initiate a direct donation drive to raise funds to support our mission. In this way, we can hopefully raise the necessary funds for our service activities and focus our volunteer time to more directly help our community at a time of great need.
Please consider donating to our Middletown Rotary Charitable Fund by Nov. 1st. This will ensure funds being available to assist individuals in need for the holidays. We are happy to announce that our donation fundraising drive has been bolstered by a two-thousand-dollar commitment to match the first two thousand dollars contributed by others. We have three ways by which you can donate to our Middletown Rotary Charitable Fund:
1. Donate by check made payable to: Middletown Rotary Charitable Fund. Please send check to:

We thank you for your generosity and willingness to reach out to our neighbors during this time. Through your commitment to the Rotary Mission of “Service Above Self,” together we will assist individuals and families in our community at a time of their greatest and unprecedented need.
Yours in Rotary,
